To the parents:
After the success of ‘Kids’ Games Book 1’ both in schools and at home I made it my business to get reactions from both parents and teachers before I wrote this sequel. Parents liked 'Kids’ Games Book 1' for two reasons. Firstly it got the kids out of their hair and away from the TV set which they felt was good for their children s development. But secondly they used it as a resource so that they could play with their kids without having to rack their brains thinking up a game. Teachers used ‘Kids’ Games Book 1’ to entertain students in spare lessons, on games/physical education afternoons and on school camps.
So with all this in mind I have produced ‘Kids' Games Book 2’ so that parents and teachers have a new set of both active and passive indoor and outdoor games for children ranging from 4-14 years. I have also included two special sections—one on party games to give parents valuable activities for amusing 10 to 29 marauding, hyped up party goers. The second is on car games, so that the big interstate or country trip does not develop into whinging from the back seat or a brawl between front seat and back seat passengers.
To the Kids:
This book is for you to use whenever you get that bored feeling. Pick it up, check the weather and if it is nice outside choose a fine weather game or if it's windy or wet choose a wet weather game.
You do not need much equipment to play the games and you can play with friends, brothers or sisters. If you are going on a long car trip read over the car games the day before and take with you what you need to play the ones you like.
If you have a party coming up read through the party games and plan what games would suit you and your friends. Remember you can play any game at any age as long as you feel like having fun.
